When the weather’s nice, I love driving to Windermere, a lakeside town in the north of England. It takes me about two hours by car. And it’s during those two hours that the ‘road soundtrack’ comes to mind. I stop somewhere along the way and make some sketches. And that’s how the whole journey goes. By the time I get back to the studio, the music is almost ready.
The cover of the release features a photo taken in Windermere itself (it’s full of swans). Essentially, this whole mini-album, with the title track ‘Windermere’, captures my summer mood. Before this, there were albums with the same vibe: ‘Soundtrack Of The Highway’ and ‘Summery Sway’.
